Again, Yayi Welfare Scheme Donates Deep Freezer, Cash Grant To APC Members In Abeokuta

In continuation of its empowerment initiative for members of the Yayi Assembly, an arm of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun State, Yayi Welfare Scheme has blessed a middle-aged woman, Mrs. Salmot Adeoye, in Oke-Ido, Gbagura with a chest deep freezer and cash donation.
The empowerment, which was targeted at the general public and members of the Yayi Assembly, was held on Thursday at Ansar-u-deen Main Primary School One, Kemta/Ilawo, Gbagura, Abeokuta.
The empowerment was based on a raffle draw to avoid favoritism while also ensuring transparency among the beneficiaries of over 100 people.
The empowerment initiative was held during the YAYI Assembly meeting of ward 6, Abeokuta North local government.
Speaking at the meeting, a former APC chairman in the local government, Alhaji Akeem Sobayo, commended the party members for their steadfastness and dedication to the party.
Alhaji Sobayo said the welfare scheme was established to compensate dedicated party members and strengthen membership drive of the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun state.
After the raffle draw, about 20 people won cash prizes to support their businesses, while Mrs. Salmot Adeoye won a deep freezer.
Expressing joy to Senator Adeola Yayi, the beneficiary, elated Mrs. Adeoye appreciated organizers of the Yayi Welfare Scheme.
The mother of three said the deep freezer would assuage her suffering and stress of buying iced blocks to sell her soft drink business.
She said the donation of the freezer would widen her business scope and improve her financial sustainability.
Other beneficiaries who went home with cash donation could not hide their joy, as many of them pledged their loyalty to Senator Adeola Yayi.
The lead convener of the Yayi Welfare Scheme, Hon. Yomade Biobaku stressed the need for party cohesion and grassroots mobilization.
Yomade accompanied by other committee members of the Yayi Welfare Scheme said the initiative was to support the good work of the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial district, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State.
